WHAT MAKES ONE RICH BY BIRTH?

RICH BY BIRTH

Yogas for financial prosperity may already be in operation at birth which means one is born with silver spoon in one’s mouth. The primary astrological requisites for affluence and wealth at birth are not only a strong Lagna and Dhana Yogas but also the balance of Dasa of the right planet at birth.

The Dasa of the debilitated planet at birth gave a life of privation, of hunger and suffering. Rahu in the 2nd is also not favourable for finances which are rendered worse by his joining 8th lord Moon and occupying the 8th lord’s constellation. The Lagna lord Jupiter in the 11th is good for material circumstances but since he occupies the constellation of Mars who is heavily afflicted and whose Dasa was current at birth, the native’s birth and early life can in penury.

HOW TO GAUGE FINANCIAL SETBACKS?

Determining Indu Lagna is a simple test for assessing the financial base of a chart. It does not say all about where the native stands financially, but it does offer some idea of his finances. It is simple enough but even here; there can be some confusion unless we are clear on certain points.

What would happen if there is no remainder or if the remainder is zero? For example, if Lagna is Virgo occupied by the Moon, the 9th house would be Taurus and the Kala for Venus being 12; we get the sum of the Kalas of the 9th lord from Lagna and Chandra Lagna as 12 + 12 = 24. Dividing this by 12, the remainder is 0 or you can say 12. The 12th sign from the Moon, namely, Leo, becomes Indu Lagna.

Further, the more powerful a planet in Indu Lagna or influencing it by aspect, the more wealthy will it make the native. Now, what is powerful? Is it Digbala or some other kind of strength? There are different kinds of strength - sign - wise, house-wise, Yoga - wise, Nakshatra - wise, due to exaltation, Vargottama or other Shadvarga - Balas. It can be any one or more of these. What is important is the planet should be strong in any one or more ways to enhance the Dhana Yoga strength. For instance, for Aquarius Ascendant, if the Moon is in Scorpio, Indu Lagna will fall Aquarius. If Saturn (as a malefic), is in Leo, sign -wife he is in an inimical place but he has Digbala. Substitute the Moon-sign by Cancer. Indu Lagna for 9th lords Venus and Jupiter (12 + 10 = 22) divided by 12 = 1 plus remainder 10 will be the 10th sign from Cancer, that is, Aries. Saturn whether in Aries (if he has effective cancellation of debility) or Libra can still be deemed to be powerful. So, irrespective of the nature of strength, the Dhana Yoga gets support.

Next, what happens in the case of untenanted and unexpected Indu Lagna? In such a case, the test of Indu Lagna may not be helpful and it goes without saying the chart has to be analysed exclusively on the merits of planetary juxtapositions and Yogas.

Another doubt that could arise is when the Moon is in Indu Lagna. How is it to be judged? The Moon is not absolutely benefic or malefic. It also becomes functionally good or bad, depending upon its distance from the Sun, in other words Paksha Bala. Waxing Moon is benefic. Waning Moon is malefic and the same rules can be applied in judging the Moon in Indu Lagna.
